mood: chipper
Hey fellow SWC fans! I hope this is allowed...I'm selling my autographed copy of Wigfield on ebay and I thought some of you may be interested...it's signed by Amy, Paul, Stephen and Todd Oldham who designed/took the photos. It's a pretty sweet collector's item, I'm super sad to be getting rid of it but I'm in dire need of moolah.

Here's a pic:

Amy news at TV Guide
04:14pm 15/10/2008
It looks like the series that Amy and Paul were working on before last year's writers strike is back on:

This is probably the series that is about Amy doing a hospitality show out of her apartment, with friends stopping by to help her to cook or to create crafts.

Plus, she'll be doing two episodes of "The Closer".
02:08pm 15/09/2008
Canadian SWC fans: According to The Comedy Network's website, they will be showing episodes of Strangers With Candy every Sunday at 11 pm. For some reason it was on at 1:30 am last night for me as well, so possibly both times, I'm not sure. Full episodes are being posted on the website as the episodes are played, so Old Habits, New Beginnings is already up there. They also have some great clips. Enjoy!

For Amy Sedaris Fans in the Baltimore / Washington, DC Area...
09:41am 15/08/2008
  (x-posted from my website)

Amy will be appearing at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick, Maryland* on Friday, November 7th, 8:00 PM. The evening will likely include an on-stage interview, craft and/or cooking demo, audience Q&A and book signing (subject to change). Additional details to follow. Tickets can be purchased online or from the box office (301-600-2828; $27 for front orchestra; $25 rear orchestra; $20 balcony) . More info here.

*(Close proximity to Baltimore, Washington and Harrisburg)

Ed. note: I kinda sorta pestered the Weinberg to book her, so I’d love to see this sell out or at least come close. Even if you don’t live in the area, if you know someone who does, who you think might be interested in this, please let them know!

Best Colbert episodes?
10:08am 04/06/2008
I showed my boyfriend Strangers With Candy for the first time last night and he loved it. As it turns out, he's a big Stephen Colbert fan and loves The Colbert Report--he just had no idea that Stephen had any involvement in SWC. Anyway, we watched The Virgin Jerri (because that's my personal favorite), Jerri's Burning Issue, and then Yes You Can't (because I think Colbert is hilarious in that one). Chuck Noblet is definitely his favorite.

So my question is, what do you guys think are the best Chuck Noblet episodes??? I'm sure we'll eventually watch them all, but I want to get him hooked on SWC, so I want to start him off with some really good Colbert eps! The Blank Page comes to mind, but for those of you who watch the show for Stephen, what would you pick?

More information on "Factory"
12:51am 31/05/2008
mood: curious

I had posted about Mitch Rouse's new show "Factory" a bit ago and saw this publicity photo and thought I'd share since it also includes our favorite Meat Man Stew, David Pasquesi. I also checked out the Spike TV website and they have quite a few videos up. This one seemed like it would be Jerri approved.

Here is some more backstory on the plot:
Factory is the story of four guys who grew up together in the same small town, who drank a lot of beer, and dreamt of one day making a name for themselves. The four guys are still friends and still drink a lot of beer, only now they all work in the town's local factory. When not figuring out new ways to avoid doing their jobs, the guys are usually trying to appease their wives and girlfriends, without great success. When a work-related accident creates a job opening, the guys have to decide who should get the promotion, which unfortunately might require actual work.

Check out the Factory website on Spike TV for some more videos and other information. It premieres on June 29th at 10pm Eastern so set your Tivos!

Mitch Rouse's new show "Factory"
07:24pm 26/04/2008
mood: intrigued
Hey guys I saw this news item and thought some people might be interested in "Officer Savillion's" new project. I'm intrigued by it and will definitely tune in.

"FACTORY" TO OPEN. Oak Ridge, [Tennessee] native Mitch Rouse's new comedy "Factory" has an announced premiere date - 10 p.m., Sunday, June 29, on Spike TV.

Says Spike TV: " 'Factory' follows the day-to-day lives of four disinterested small town factory workers as they spend their time fraternizing in lieu of doing their drab work."

The comedy is done in improvisational style, with a scripted structure but no firm script. The style is also the way series such as HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" works.

Rouse wrote the series, directed it and also stars in it. Rouse also co-created Comedy Central's "Strangers With Candy."

He was also a regular on ABC's "According to Jim," playing the title character's brother-in-law, Ryan. Rouse left "Jim" in order to devote time to "Factory," but the show has left the door open for Rouse to return. [source]

Also: I saw that the Strangers With Candy boxset is on sale at amazon.com right now for $28.99. Just thought I'd let you guys know if anyone hasn't gotten it yet since that's the best price I've ever seen it.

song compilation help
01:02pm 24/03/2008
Hey, everyone.  I'm in the process of locating video clips where Stephen Colbert sings and then extracting the audio track into .mp3 format.  The end goal is to create an album that I can upload and share on LJ.

I could really use some help in finding these clips.

So!  If you know of a video (or audio file) that has Stephen singing in it, please tell me!  I'll take clips from any show - The Report, The Daily Show, Strangers with Candy, guest appearances...basically anything that has Stephen Colbert singing.

Know of a clip I can use?  Go to this post, check the list of songs I've already converted, and then leave a comment.

Crossposted like crazy, so sorry for spam.  ^^;  Thanks in advance for the help!

(EDIT:  In my infinite wisdom, I managed to totally overlook Wikiality's list of downloads.  Still, I know there's a couple performances missing, like John Legend, Willie Nelson, &ct...)
